Our energy management system has been ISO 50001:2018 certified since September 2025.
Energy efficiency as a corporate principle
Sustainability and efficiency are part of everyday business at PRINTEC-DS. Since September 2025, we have been officially certified according to ISO 50001:2018 – an internationally recognized standard for systematic energy management. Our goal: to conserve resources, reduce costs, and make a measurable contribution to climate protection.

Modern manufacturing technologies
- Fiber laser technology instead of lamp lasers: significantly lower power consumption with higher precision.
- CNC milling machines with optimized auxiliary units and efficient lubricant supply.
Optimized infrastructure
- Switch from piston compressors to screw compressors for compressed air supply – more energy-efficient in continuous operation.
- Waste heat utilization in all temperature-intensive processes – heat is not wasted but returned to the cycle.
Intelligent building control
- Central energy management system for controlling and regulating heating, air conditioning, lighting, and ventilation.
- Demand-based control reduces consumption and increases comfort.
ISO 50001 – More than just a certificate
Certification according to ISO 50001:2018 was voluntary, as we are well below the final energy consumption of over 7.5 GWh, but we wanted to demonstrate that our energy management system meets the highest international standards. At the same time, it motivates us to continuously identify further savings potential and to further develop our processes in a sustainable manner.
